The campus was amazing--with awesome old buildings that have been there like forever. It was neat to walk up by the stadium and see the famed "Dawg Walk" where the team and the band enter the stadium, to miles and miles of fans cheering them on.
About an hour before kickoff it started to dump rain on us--and I am not talking little sprinkles--I am talking about Noah's ark type rain! I have never seen rain this hard! We spent about an hour in the student center near the stadium waiting for it to clear up a bit so we could go sit in our seats. Ummm...it didn't clear up much--when we walked up to our seats we pretty much got drenched! About 10 minutes before kickoff I got this picture of Greg and Todd going up to their seats--notice that you can't even see the stadium in the background!
The stadium was amazing--it holds more than 92,000 fans, and is completely sold out week after week! The football tradition in Georgia is just awesome! I got these pics while ASU warmed up.
It did clear up to a drizzle in the 2nd half of the game--and the game was absolutely AWESOME--considering I thought we were going to lose by 30 points or more. If we only had an offense, we would've sent the dawgs out of that stadium with their tails between their legs. This picture to me sums up the game! I thought it was hilarious everytime this guy held up his foam finger.
ASU just couldn't get it done tonight--and we were humiliated in true ASU fashion! Georgia pulled it out with a last minute field goal--20-17. I am a terrible loser--so I complained the whole time and booed and hissed at the refs who didn't do such a great job either. Sorry to those who had to sit by me--I'm afraid I'm one of those loud, obnoxious fans who you don't want to sit by if you just came to enjoy a friendly game of football! Oh well--there's always next year--and there is still NO better place to be on a Saturday night! Go Devils!
