Introducing...Old Jerusalem Treasures!

So we have been working on a new business idea with Todd's parents, who just returned last week from their mission in Jerusalem. A few months ago, Bob floated the idea of starting up an olive wood business, and selling olive wood and other products that are made in Israel, specifically in Bethlehem. While they were over there, they absolutely fell in love with the people and the culture of Israel, and wanted to bring some of that back home so that people here could experience part of what it means to visit the Holy Land. Most people will never have the opportunity to visit that place, but that doesn't mean that you can't have a piece of it in your home. We jumped at the idea, and have been working on ideas for locations, and inventory since then. This week, we settled on a store front located in the Superstition Springs Mall in Mesa, a few minutes from our house. We are getting started remodeling the space, and hope to be up and running before Easter time. We are new to the retail business, and have plenty to learn, but are very excited to offer some products that are very hard to find here in America. Wish us luck...because we are diving in head first! If you're in the mall in the next few weeks, stop in and say HI! We are two doors down from Wetzel's Pretzels--(YUM!)--on the Dillards side of the mall. I will give the website and blog information later, but in the meantime, here are some before photos, so you can keep track of our progress...

The only problem??? THIS is not good for our diet--but it sure is YUMMY!
